June 17, 2002—SMART Technologies SMART Expressions comes wired for complete multimedia, audio, and laptop support to custom-designed cabinets, tables, or desks. This fully wired integration module (IM) features a control panel with laptop cabling and power, audio and input control, a connection panel to support a variety of peripherals, and an audio system. It was designed for environments where integrated, convenient access to multimedia equipment is important, and users can power up the entire system with a single switch, connect a laptop, and seamlessly alternate between computer inputs.
The control panel includes a main power switch, audio control, and retractable cabling for a laptop. It also has a display source button to alternate input sources connected to the SMART X-Port 10 multimedia switch. The connection panel supports peripherals such as a SMART Board interactive whiteboard, projector, network, external audio system, VCR, DVD player or document camera, and printer. Computer cables to connect an internal computer are also included. The audio system has two 15-watt speakers, an amplifier, and a three-source mixer, plus single volume control for all audio sources.
