February 9, 2007—Smartcool Systems, Inc., reports the successful testing and subsequent implementation of the ESM 4000 by Carclo Technical Plastics (CTP), a division of Carclo PLC, in its Surrey, England, facility.
Upon testing for refrigeration and air-conditioning needs, the ESM provided a reduction in usage of kilo watt hours (kWh) of 30%, which equates to annual CO2 reduction of 117, 180 Kg, or saving enough energy to power 90 homes annually.
According to CTP, Smartcool provided the company with a product that significantly reduces the kWh consumption used by our process chillers and more important, fall achieved without any detrimental effect to our plant, operations, and processes. CTP adds that it is now rolling out the Energy Saving Module into other sites and elements of its business.
