July 13, 2007—Sodexho Alliance CEO Michel Landel said the company plans to double the size of its facilities management business in its portfolio by 2015 "through organic growth and through selective acquisitions," adding that "the market is there."
He made the statement on a conference call following the release of Sodexho’s nine-month sales data.
It was not immediately clear if he meant doubling the actual size of the business or doubling the contribution of facilities management services relative to Sodexho’s total business.
Landel said current growth in the facilities management business is strong, with the company being "very successful" in adding new contracts recently.
He also referred to growth in the food service sector as strong.
