Historically, says Spacesaver, paint colors have been selected to match an existing area. Now, however, colors are being chosen to compliment the environment. In addition to this change, colors are becoming more complex, with an enhanced ability to fit into a variety of color schemes.
To develop its palette, the firm used research conducted by outside companies as well as one-on-one interviews with four large architect and design firms in the US and a color consultant.
