Spacesaver’s new TouchPad Release for rotary files receives a NeoCon Award

June 17, 2002—Spacesaver has developed a new waist-high TouchPad Release as an alternative to the mechanical foot pedal on Rotary Storage units. The code-access release features an easy-to-operate keypad with all of the current TouchPad security features. To gain access, an authorized user enters a four-digit code on the keypad, which offers two modes of operation—a latched mode for continuous, uninterrupted access to the system and a toggle mode for access to one unit in the system at a time. To lock down the system, the user re-enters the code and moves the files to the desired locked position. Among other features, the Rotary TouchPad includes code memory retention during a power interruption; flexibility to reprogram; ADA-friendly, waist-high control location.
