December 28, 2007—Meridian Systems, a software solutions leader for improving capital program and construction project performance, announced that the Industrial and Project Management Group of Stantec Consulting Ltd. has selected Prolog software to standardize its project management processes. Stantec is working directly with Potentio Consulting, a Meridian authorized reseller, to implement Prolog software.
“With Stantec offices across North America, Prolog software enables us to collaborate effectively with clients and project team members, limiting the impact the location of the project and project data has on product delivery,” said Sasikumar Venu, Project Control Systems Manager, Stantec Consulting Ltd. “Prolog software is allowing us to expand our service offering by increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of our Project Management Teams.”
Stantec, headquartered in Alberta, Canada, is a leader in supporting public and private sector clients in a diverse range of markets in the infrastructure and facilities sector. Stantec selected Prolog software for its ability to increase project team communication and to effectively manage and retrieve project data. Stantec plans to use Prolog software on a majority of its industrial projects, leveraging comprehensive features for engineering, procurement and construction management projects.
Stantec originally began using Prolog software over 10 years ago because of its user friendliness and adaptability to EPCM projects. The company will use Prolog software as a central collaboration system across the Stantec organization to standardize and automate project management tasks, including purchasing, contract management, request for information (RFI) tracking, change order processing, submittals, document management and field administration.
