January 27, 200—Steelcase Inc., a global office environments manufacturer, announced recently its participation in the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Climate Leaders program, an industry-government partnership aimed at developing long-term, comprehensive corporate climate change strategies.
By participating in the program, Steelcase has pledged to continue reducing its corporate-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Launched in 2002, Climate Leaders works with partners, such as Steelcase, to set a corporate-wide greenhouse gas reduction goal and inventory their emissions to measure progress. By reporting inventory data to EPA, partners create a lasting record of their accomplishments. In addition, partners identify themselves as corporate environmental leaders and strategically position themselves as climate change policy continues to unfold, says Steelcase.
