October 9, 2002—Steelcase Inc. recently received a total of five Association of Interior Designer of Ontario (ARIDO) Awards of Excellence; four silver and one bronze. The ARIDO Awards of Excellence are presented at IIDEX/NeoCon Canada, Canada’s largest exposition and conference for the design and management of interior environments, which was held on September 19-20 at the National Trade Center in Toronto.
The silver and bronze awards were granted to Steelcase products that demonstrate innovative quality and design. Bix by Metro, a Steelcase Design Partnership Company, won two silver awards; one in the Innovative Product category and the other for Lounge Chair & Sofa. Two additional silvers were awarded to Steelcase for the Cachet Chair in the Desk/Workstation category and to Steelcase Canada Ltd. for Booth Design. Lastly, the Leap WorkLounge and Ottoman received a bronze award in the Lounge Chair & Sofa category.
