December 6, 2004—The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) has awarded GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification to Steelcase systems and storage products. The GEI tested and verified that Steelcase Avenir, Answer, and Kick systems and storage products, including Universal Storage, 800/900, 200, 730 and 1700 line (with the exception of wood options), have minimal impact on indoor air quality. Steelcase earned GREENGUARD Certification for their wood seating and all Steelcase branded seating lines earlier in 2004.
