Top honors at the seventh PFM Partnership Awards went to the partnership of Stiell Facilities and Abbey National, which won both the Facilities Management category and the overall Partnership Award. The judges said: “Both parties clearly demonstrated that they were working in full partnership and developed a range of strategies to enhance their partnership.” Stiell has managed the complete FM services at Abbey National’s headquarters in Scotland since 1995, including all electrical and mechanical maintenance, help-desk services, space planning, and project management of new works. Stiell has since been awarded the refit of Abbey National’s Retail and Banking Centre headquarters, as well as the FM services for this building and Abbey National’s other main properties in Glasgow and the North of England.
The 2000 Awards, sponsored by the Premises & Facilities Management magazine, was the biggest to date. Entrants covered a broad range of FM activity in a variety of business sectors across the UK.
