Stratacache introduces integrated in-store digital signage network

May 24, 2006—Stratacache, the leader in scalable content delivery solutions for broadly distributed organizations, has introduced ActiVia for Media 3.0, an integrated digital signage management system that enables centralized content scheduling, distribution, configuration, monitoring, management, and control of in-store digital media displays, the company says.

Digital displays are gaining importance as a key marketing tool for retailers everywhere, but the ability to manage content, as well as hundreds or thousands of these display devices has been a significant problem. Typical systems rely on slow, inefficient, distribution of content to individual media players, provide no insight into the operational status of the media player, and offer no ongoing management and control of the device.

With ActiVia for Media 3.0, retailers can create a unified display network with integrated, hyper-efficient multicast distribution and centralized control over tens of thousands of in-store displays. ActiVia for Media 3.0 makes it possible to rapidly change content on any or all devices while tracking operational status and ensuring high availability of digital signs across the retail network, says Stratacache.
