May 17, 2004—StrionAir, Inc.’s breakthrough air purification technology, recently installed in Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc.’s 160,000 square foot corporate headquarters, has improved the facility’s indoor air quality (IAQ), according to employees and the facility manager.
For two years, employees experienced IAQ problems in the Westminster, Colorado facility’s records room, where thousands of folders containing dust-laden paper records routinely are retrieved. The most acutely affected complained of headache, fatigue, shortness of breath, sinus congestion, cough and sneezing in the workplace. “We had employees affected every day by these conditions,” reported Hugh Frazier, General Facility Manager. “Within two weeks of installation of the StrionAir System, records-room employees reported significant improvement in their symptoms.”
According to StrionAir, the air purfication system removes more than 90% of harmful submicron-sized airborne particles, and actively destroys the airborne microbes that can cause respiratory illnesses.
