November 21, 2001—Studio egs Ecowork workstation has received the Design Sense Corporate Prize in the 2001 Sustainable Design Awards competition sponsored by Londons Design Museum. The Corporate Prize is awarded to the company that demonstrates the greatest commitment to the environment, balanced with economic development and social responsibility. Ecowork contains 450 pounds of material that would have become landfill; 98% of its content is recycled. It is produced using energy-efficient manufacturing techniques, and is itself easily dismantled and recycled. The mission of Studio eg is to use recycled, re-used, and non-toxic materials creatively.
