Sun’s HIPAA solution set includes a number of Sun products and services Including Trusted Solaris, iPlanet(TM) software, Java Card technology-based smart cards, Sun Ray(TM) thin client solutions and Sun Professional Services.
The Solaris Operating Environment delivers end-to-end security for business-critical enterprise applications and robust workgroup computing. Security in the Solaris Operating Environment protects systems and networks from unauthorized access and other threats.
Trusted Solaris is a security-enhanced platform for mission-critical HIPAA applications and services. It is applicable as the foundation layer in the Sun solutions stack for servers that manage multiple levels of information.
