TagMaster CombiTag combines vehicle identification with HID proximity

May 21, 2004—TagMaster’s new S1260/01 CombiTag is a unique access card that combines TagMaster’s successful long-range Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) system with HID’s globally popular proximity technology.

With increasing risks for terrorism, sabotage, and theft, the security industry has shifted its focus from simply keeping track of individuals entering the security perimeter, to a more holistic security thinking including accounting for visitors’ vehicles as well. The TagMaster S1260/01 CombiTag makes possible the uniform implementation and management of a security system that encompasses both people and vehicles.

All TagMaster long-range 2.45 GHz readers and HID proximity 125 kHz readers are compatible with the S1260/01 CombiTag. Integration with existing access control or time and attendance systems is easily achieved using a standard Wiegand interface.

One S1260/01 CombiTag reportedly costs less than buying the proximity card and the AVI card separately.
