Transwestern Commercial Services (TCS) has adopted Framework Technologies Corporation’s ActiveProject collaboration software as the platform for its new Trans-ePortal system. The Trans-ePortal is a new value-added service from Transwestern, providing project communication and collaboration with clients and team members. Transwestern is one of the largest privately held commercial real estate firms in the US.
The Trans-ePortal will provide secure, centralized access to all project-related information for Transwestern’s clients and extended team members. Project participants can use a standard Web browser to find, review, discuss and collaborate on project-related information, expediting feedback and resolving issues faster. Trans-ePortal users can access and share hundreds of information items in the form of CAD drawings, documents, spreadsheets, project schedules, and images. Additionally, Transwestern will use the Trans-ePortal to support other applications, such as live Web camera video feeds and Primavera project schedules.
“Transwestern manages numerous real estate projects nationwide, and Active Project will help us streamline our project delivery process,” TCS Chief Information Officer Charles Nash, said. “It’s crucial for members of our team to be on top of all aspects of a project and for our clients to have a web-enabled communication and review capability. Using this browser-based collaborative tool expands communications channels and steps up accountability and coordination to an even higher level than before.”
“Transwestern is a great example of how a real estate firm leverages technology strategically to differentiate itself and provide a higher level of customer service,” said Daniel Slavin, president and CEO of Framework Technologies Corporation.
