February 28, 2005—Thirty-five percent of chief information officers surveyed by Robert Half Technology said enhancing network security is their top priority. The second-most frequent response was operating-system upgrades, cited by 16 percent of executives.
The national poll asked more than 1,400 chief information officers the following question: Which of the following initiatives are the highest priorities for your IT department in the next 12 months? Their responses:
