November 26, 2004—The GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification has been awarded to Teknion for its Boulevard panel system, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability. The Boulevard product line includes panels, work surfaces, filing, storage, and accessories, all of which were put under stringent testing to obtain certification for low-emitting interior products that will not negatively impact the indoor air quality. GEEENGUARD Certified furniture and furnishings also enable architects and designers to achieve points for the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI) Program.
Teknion reports that it was the first office furniture manufacturer to receive GREENGUARD Certification for all its major product lines and maintains its corporate-wide commitment by continuously submitting new products for certification and regularly retesting to ensure compliance with GREENGUARD standards.
