Teknion to introduce three major office products lines at NeoCon

April 20, 2007—Teknion Corporation has announced plans to launch three major product lines at NeoCon 07, June 11-13, at Teknion’s showroom #1048 in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.

District, Optos and Marketplace Worktable are major lines that, says Teknion, enable collaboration in the workspace, yet still recognize the needs of the individual.

District was designed to provide an alternative esthetic to systems furniture. It accommodates emerging workstyles and makes efficient use of today’s smaller office footprints. The line offers a collection of cabinets, desks, walls, and windows to create a compact yet comfortable open plan and private work environment. The emphasis on lower, more transparent workstations responds to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) requirements for light and view.

With Optos, large expanses of 10mm glass are captured between horizontal aluminum framing at the floor and ceiling. Glass-to-glass frameless connections using a unique, transparent adhesive tape give a clean, almost invisible appearance.

With Marketplace, Teknion has incorporated new ways of providing storage, privacy, and comfort. The Marketplace Worktable achieves an uninterrupted and unsupported span up to 20 feet to foster creativity and collaboration in team-based environments. Industrial designer Carl Gustav Magnusson focuses on the human aspects of work: personalization of space, storage, and some privacy. With a minimum number of parts, Marketplace is easy to specify, installs quickly, and reduces inventory and costs.
