August 20, 2003—TEMPbadge Self-Expiring ID’s that change color when no longer valid are now available with the One-Write Sign-In System. TEMPbadge says that its One-Write Sign-in System is ideal for visitor and contractor sign-in because it creates a permanent log-in record at the same time that it creates a temporary ID badge. The entire process takes less than a minute.
The One-Write System uses a specially designed clipboard and carbonized sign-in record sheet. The ID badges are placed on a special clipboard under a carbonized sign-in sheet. A visitor fills in the data in one of the sign-in boxes. The carbon automatically transfers selected information onto the security badge.
To utilize this system with a Self-Expiring ID (which consists of two parts), only the front part of the badge is placed under the sign-in sheet. After the visitor fills in the data, the completed front part is placed on a special “migrating ink” back part to start the timing process, and the badge is issued.
