November 24, 2004—The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, Texas, has signed a two-year contract for cleaner electricity from Green Mountain Energy Company. In addition, the representative for Green Mountain Energy electricity in the Dallas area has agreed to donate $20,000 worth of electricity to Ronald McDonald House of Dallas for one year, paid in monthly installments of $1,700.
In addition to the donation of electricity, Green Mountain Dallas was also a gold-level sponsor of the Trains at NorthPark exhibit that opened November 20. Approximately one half of the annual operating budget of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas comes from the proceeds raised by The Trains at NorthPark.
Founded in 1997 to “change the way power is made,” Green Mountain Energy Company offers residential, business, institutional, and governmental customers the choice to support cleaner electricity generated from sources such as wind, solar, water, geothermal, biomass, and natural gas.
