March 9, 2026 — Significantly expanding its outdoor furniture category, Room & Board for Business introduces new collections spanning lounge seating, dining, shade solutions, fire features and kitchen elements. The introductions for commercial environments feature an expanded range of sustainably sourced teak alongside new all-weather woven wicker designs, developed in partnership with Quality Works, a fabricator known for giving priority to employee well-being and investing in its local community.

“The broadened assortment enables us to deliver even more design choices to our customers, whether they are sourcing for high-end hospitality settings, workplace outdoor lounge areas, or spaces in between,” says Elise Nicpon, Director of Retail Customer Experience at Room & Board for Business. “From an expanded range of teak offerings to the introduction of all-weather wicker, we’re meeting growing demand with multifunctional new pieces designed to blend indoor comfort with outdoor environments.”

All-weather furniture composed of teak
As summer approaches, corporations with outdoor amenity space may be considering all-weather furniture and furnishings solutions that allow employees to host an outdoors meeting, take a break from the screens, or host guests who may linger in generous cushioning and relaxed proportions that make it well-suited to terraces, and resort-style hospitality environments. The Quality Works lounge and seating collections Leti, Timor and Savu are primarily composed of teak.
Quality Works sources heartwood teak exclusively from forests owned by Perum Perhutani, an Indonesian government agency that meets Room & Board’s stringent sustainable wood sourcing policy through third-party certification. A natural hardwood, Indonesian teak heartwood is prized for its high oil content, which provides exceptional resistance to rot, insects, and the elements. Over time, it develops a beautiful silver-gray patina and remains easy to maintain.
- The Leti seating collection is defined by interlocking joinery that reinforces structural integrity and ensures long-term outdoor performance. Available as a sofa, lounge chair or swivel chair, with coordinating coffee tables, the collection offers a broad range of sizes and configuration options.
- The Timor Lounge Chair is designed with supportive angles and a lower seat height, creating a perch for extended relaxation — especially when paired with the matching Timor Ottoman.
- The Savu Outdoor Chair features a distinctive slatted design that allows rainwater to drain easily, enhancing durability while maintaining a clean, architectural aesthetic.
Elegant steel and reclaimed oak sofa and lounge chairs
The Marin sofa and lounge chairs, crafted by skilled makers in Wisconsin and North Carolina, feature a deep, low-seat design focused on relaxed comfort. A lighter-weight steel frame emphasizes soft, refined lines, with thick, comfortable cushions, while armrests are accented with sustainably sourced reclaimed oak.

The oak accents are crafted by Baltimore-based Cambium, which sources fallen urban wood from across the country, working with local family-owned workshops to repurpose it into usable lumber. The public-benefit corporation aims to reduce the 45 million tons of urban tree waste generated annually in the U.S.
Shade and warmth for the business backyard living room

No outdoor environment is complete without options for shade — and ideally warmth. Socializing and hosting team meetings in the morning and midday sun calls for a generous umbrella. If the group is more inclined to meet late afternoon into evenings, then a workplace firepit can increase the comfort and camaraderie. Room & Board for Business is expanding the sense of the great backyard living room with an assortment of accessories and accent pieces, from umbrellas to fire tables.
Banda umbrella collection
The new Banda umbrella collection by Quality Works is available in three configurations: the Banda Patio with a rounded canopy, rope pulley system, and twist-to-release safety lock ideal for round tables or lounge seating; the Banda Telescopic with an elegant telescoping design and crank handle perfect for shading large dining tables; and the Banda Cantilever, which provides expansive coverage with 360-degree rotation, center or off-center mounting options, and a substantial weighted base for added stability. The Banda patio can also be ordered with an integrated slotted teak side table that features an umbrella base enclosure.
Sumba and Pele fire tables

The Sumba fire table showcases a mix of materials that give it a distinctive look: slats of solid teak from Quality Works encircle a round ceramic top where drinks or snacks can be placed. The propane-powered unit is available in two sizes.
The Pele fire table features a bowl design and can be operated through a natural gas line or refillable propane tank. Built in the U.S., it is composed of fiberglass-reinforced concrete, which is lighter and more durable than traditional concrete.
