TIBCO ActiveEnterprise facilitates shift to Web-based business infrastructure

July 26, 2002—Siemens Nederland NV, a subsidiary of Siemens AG is now utilizing TIBCO ActiveEnterprise suite of products to create an automated business environment to link their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and processes.

Siemens Netherlands is conducting an upgrade to its ERP system that will shift the company to a more Internet-centric business strategy and introduce efficiencies across the entire organization. With an integrated environment, the company will benefit from reduced management costs, higher quality operations and a reduction in development time for all corporate interfaces.

Using TIBCO ActiveEnterprise suite of products, Siemens Netherlands will integrate its current and legacy data, systems and processes via a migration to a SAP R3 environment, standardizing interfaces and providing a common ground for its business-critical applications. TIBCO provides the integration platform for this change, ensuring that all of Siemens’ systems are fully interoperable with R3.

By providing seamless integration within a common environment, TIBCO ActiveEnterprise suite of products will allow Siemens to manage its business processes—such as finance and supply chain relationships more easily and effectively. The company expects to realize significant Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings by standardizing all operations on a common platform.
