March 12, 2008—Titan Energy Worldwide, Inc., has announced that its subsidiary, Titan Energy Development, has received orders for five Sentry 5000 Mobile Utility Systems, an all-in-one, self-contained trailer mounted unit built for emergency response, disaster relief and remote utility support. These orders are the first to be received through the companys new national distribution arrangement with Katolight Corporation, a Tognum Group Company. The units will be deployed to three customers in the Texas, Louisiana, and the Baltimore/Washington D.C. regions.
“These orders mark the start of our partnership with Katolight, a worldwide manufacturer of mobile, stationary and custom power generation equipment. We are moving forward with our plan to increase awareness of the unique capabilities of the Sentry 5000 unit and to ramping production of the units,” said John Tastad, CEO of Titan Energy Worldwide, Inc.
The Sentry 5000 Mobile Utility System is an all-in-one, self-contained trailer-mounted unit built for emergency response, disaster relief and remote utility support when standard utility service is unavailable. The on-board utility systems pre-engineered for the Sentry 5000 support emergency power generation, water purification, satellite voice communication, emergency area lighting, air conditioning and heating with 60 kW+ of additional power capacity.
The system provides up to 80 hours of self-sufficient emergency power generation (dependent of load utilization) before refueling and enough electricity to power 10 homes or a 20,000 square foot office building, 7.2 tons of air-conditioning with an electrical heat option and up to 3,200 gallons of purified drinking water per day. Designed for fast deployment and easy operation, the unit is compact enough to be pulled by an SUV or pickup truck and operational within minutes of arriving onsite.
