FacilityCenter 8i version 8.2.3 continues a tradition of incorporating new features that further address the business requirements of facilities professionals and remains flexible and customizable to an organization’s individual processes.
Sold as an option in the past, the now standard core Document Manager feature in FacilityCenter 8i will enable file sharing and data management on a scale previously unavailable in a standard facilities management product.
It allows users to post document data including CAD drawings, maps, leases, contracts, deeds, photographs, manuals and corporate graphics; and for other team members to access, review and edit these files.
The fully integrated Document Manager solution eliminates the need for expensive standalone solutions and provides for new levels of enterprise efficiency for FacilityCenter customers.
FacilityCenter users now have the ability to assign security parameters and control whether employees and business partners can view, edit, create, or delete a particular file or document set. By utilizing the built-in revision and versioning control they can maintain document integrity and create a comprehensive history and audit trail. Documents can be checked in and checked out by authorized users, and their comments, notes and threaded discussions can be attached.
