U.K.’s BIFM honors FM excellence for 2009

November 11, 2009—The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) recently announced its BIFM Awards for 2009, which celebrate outstanding FM achievements. The 2009 winners are:

  • Innovation in Customer Service award: Kajima Partnership; Highly Commended: NB Entrust;
  • Innovation in Products award: Creative Space Management for Electricworks in Sheffield; Highly Commended: Initial Washrooms;
  • Innovation in Technology, Systems, & Services award: GSH Group;
  • Impact on Organisation & Workplace award: EC Harris for their work on the Department for Children, Schools, and Families; Highly Commended: Barclays Bank plc for their work with Barclaycard House, and Morgan Lovell for their work with Santander;
  • FM Excellence in a Major Project award: Initial Integrated Services; Highly Commended: VFA;
  • Public Sector Excellence in FM Team award (new category for 2009): EC Harris; Highly Commended: Babcock Dyncorp;
  • Property Investors Excellence in FM Team award: NB Entrust;
  • Corporate Occupiers Excellence in FM Team award: Shop Direct Group;
  • Communications and Marketing award: Middleton Grange Shopping Centre; Highly Commended: Europa for their work with Thurrock Council;
  • Judges Special Recognition award: Mark Rycraft;
  • Sustainability & Environmental Impact award: Centre MK; Highly Commended: MITIE;
  • Student of the Year award: Paul Warren;
  • FM of the Year award: Andy Ractliffe from Amey; and
  • Overall FM Industry Impact award: Stan Mitchell of Key Facilities Management Ltd.
