November 26, 2004—The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has named Herman Miller among the recipients of its Green Building Leaders Recognition Awards for 2004. The awards were announced during the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, in Portland, OR. Herman Miller was honored in the Green Building Business category. The other categories include Local/Regional Leadership, Green Public Service-Government and Non-Government, and USGBC Leadership. The USGBC is the nation’s leading coalition of organizations committed to promoting buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.
