February 2, 2004—BRE has received UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accreditation for airtightness testing. This service helps designers and contractors to meet Part L2 Building Regulations for commercial and public buildings, and minimize the risk of failing the compliance test.
Assistance is offered at each stage of a project, including:
- advice on meeting targets
- initial design reviews
- construction-phase and pre-test inspections
- infrared surveys
- fan pressurisation test
- remedial advice.
UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service) is recognized by the UK Government as the national body responsible for assessing and accrediting the competence of organizations in the fields of calibration, testing, inspection and certification of systems, products and personnel.
