November 21, 2003—The UKs i-desk Solutions, announced that its i-deskT integrated PC desk has won two awards at recent industry events. In October 2003, i-desk-Solutions won the Innovation category at WorkPlace 03, the “inspiration at work” event for facilities managers, business users and architects/designers.
The British Contract Furnishing Association (BCFA) has also endorsed the i-deskT with its Product Approval award in recognition of attributes that include ground-breaking design and manufacture, environmental and space-saving vision, and competitive pricing; i-deskT was showcased as an ‘approved’ product at the BCFA annual lunch, which was attended by architects, designers and specifiers.
i-desk Solutions’ integrated PC Desk operates as a normal PC supported by Intel processers running from 1.7Ghz to 3.0 GHz, and comes with up to 2GB RAM and 120GB IDE hard disk drives. The PC is integrated into the desk, and cabling is run through the desks to provide a neat, tidy and safe working environment. For additional safety and for security purposes, the desks come with a lockable plate that fits over the front of the drives, and toughened screens are also available. i-desk Solutions manufactures the desks itself, building the desk to each client’s specification.
