April 16, 2007—Flexible, mobile and instant, the GoPod makes it possible to change from a private workspace to open plan working in seconds, says the company that is launching it, Creative Facilities Management.
The GoPod folds away to just 2 feet and 10 inches deep when not in use, but opens to offer a full working desk, complete with phones and computer (not supplied), and a separate meeting area.
The GoPod, with fully adjustable height and light settings, can adapt quickly to suit the task in hand and personal preferences, says the company. It an be locked at night to keep files and personal possessions safe. Or it can be shut during the day to free up space for a presentation or staff training.
The GoPod doesn’t even require any external connections to work fully. It can be supplied with rechargeable batteries that will power its own lights and a computer for 48 hours at a time. Add wireless phones and computer internet connections and the GoPod can be located exactly where an employer or employee wants it to be – not just where cables are located.
