January 4, 2002—Power Measurement, a provider of enterprise energy management systems, and C-Matic Systems Ltd., the company’s agents in the UK, have been selected by National Grid of the UK to supply ION(R) digital power meters to monitor power quality characteristics of traction supply points, such as the Channel Tunnel. With the increased traction loads in the area, the ION 7600(TM) intelligent metering and control device will be used to monitor the levels of harmonics and disturbances to ensure that the quality of supply in the surrounding area remains acceptable.
