February 15, 2002—UNICCO Service Company, an integrated facilities services outsourcing company, has been selected by the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) to provide 24-hour cleaning and janitorial services for T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, Rhode Island. The contract covers T.F. Green offices and terminal areas. In addition, under separate contracts, UNICCO is providing similar services to some of the airlines for their terminal and holding areas.
T.F. Green was recently rated the third best airport in the country and the ninth best worldwide by the readers of Cond Nast Traveler magazine. UNICCO is staffing the account 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition to off-hours cleaning and carpet maintenance, UNICCO personnel maintain public areas during the day to help ensure that terminals, lavatories, and sidewalks are constantly in the best condition for the traveling public.
