June 13, 2003—UNICCO Service Company, an integrated facilities services outsourcing companies has been selected to provide a range of services for Brothers of Holy Cross facilities. Under the contract UNICCO provides facilities management services for Holy Cross College and Brothers of Holy Cross administrative and residential facilities, as well as for Holy Cross Village at Notre Dame and Andre Residential Services, an inter-generational continuing care community that offers retirement, assisted living and nursing facilities.
UNICCO assumes management responsibility for groundskeeping and landscaping, housekeeping and custodial services, as well as maintenance and snow removal. Under the contract, UNICCO consolidates the different organizations’ facilities services under a single management structure, resulting in increased efficiency and flexibility. The facilities represent a wide range of uses from college student dormitories to assisted living facilities. The buildings themselves range from 100-year-old structures, some of the oldest at Notre Dame, to newer construction completed in the last few years. Each requires a different mix of services.
