April 21, 2004—UNICCO has been selected by LCOR Alexandria, to provide janitorial services at the new U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Headquarters Project located in Alexandria, Virginia.
The project, consisting of five office buildings and two parking garages situated on nearly 15 acres, is the largest lease ever signed by the General Services Administration (GSA). LCOR selected UNICCO to service the 2.4 million square foot Class A office facility which will be home to more than 7,100 USPTO employees when it is fully occupied in the first quarter of 2005. Under the three-year service agreement, UNICCO will provide janitorial services, including evening cleaning and day porter services. In addition, UNICCO is responsible for cleaning the two 1,780 vehicle parking garages, which are in excess of 1 million square feet, interior window washing and the maintenance of the architectural metal.
