April 14, 2004—UNICCO Service Company has been selected by Beacon Capital Partners Management to provide janitorial services for the 3.1 million sq. ft. landmark John Hancock Tower complex and the Stephen L. Brown Building in Boston, Massachusetts.
This new account for UNICCO, an integrated facilities services company, follows a competitive bidding process that included both regional and national bidders. The contract includes evening cleaning and day porter services, as well as exterior services, such as sweeping and snow removal for public and garage areas. UNICCO is also responsible for interior and exterior window cleaning.
UNICCO will be applying some of the latest technology in servicing the account. It will use its UNI-Q palmtop inspection systems that enable both UNICCO supervisors and Beacon Capital Partners Management’s facilities managers to collect, report, and analyze cleaning conditions throughout the properties. In addition, UNICCO will also use eProcurement processes to efficiently manage the purchasing of supplies and equipment.
