UNICCO wins award from Industrial Accident Prevention Association

January 13, 2006—UNICCO Facility Services Canada Company has received a certificate of recognition from the Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA), says the company.

The award was accompanied by a Safety Groups participation rebate of $35,000 from the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB).

The IAPA, a not-for-profit organization operating in the Province of Ontario, represents approximately 47,000 member firms and more than 1.5 million workers. Founded in 1917, IAPA is Canadas largest health and safety organization and it has taken a leading role in the prevention of workplace injury and illness, as well as working for improvement in the health and safety performance of member firms.

UNICCO was recognized for its active participation in and support of IAPA Safety Group programs and goals. UNICCO has contributed its safety expertise to the organization through participation in committees, meetings and training programs. Most recently, Boucher contributed an article on safety for the IAPA’s Workplace Health and Safety Resource Guide and Catalogue.
