September 17, 2007—Unilin has received certification from the North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA) for its QuickStep and Columbia Flooring branded flooring.
Mohawk laminate flooring, a separate brand under the corporate umbrella of Unilin’s parent company Mohawk Industries, has also garnered the prestigious designation, Unilin said.
In achieving NALFA certification, QuickStep, Columbia, and Mohawk flooring each passed a rigorous series of tests designed to evaluate performance, durability, strength, and overall quality. The NALFA seal is an assurance to consumers that products will withstand even the most punishing conditions as well as everyday use, including resistance to staining, moisture, fading, impact, and normal wear.
QuickStep, Columbia, and Mohawk laminate flooring will begin featuring the NALFA Seal on packaging, Web sites, trade advertising, and promotional materials before the end of 2007, according to the company. The company also noted that as the brands add to their product lines, all new designs will be submitted for NALFA testing.
