University of North Carolina at Greensboro chooses Dexterra asset management system

April 6, 2005—The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) has chosen and deployed the Dexterra mobile facilities and asset management solution.

The UNCG mobile facilities and asset management solution was configured to fit its campus maintenance and repair processes by leveraging flexible application development tools that are key components of the Dexterra Mobile Platform.

The UNCG facilities management team, responsible for a 200-acre campus with a $6 million operating budget, demanded a mobile software solution that would enable them to wirelessly issue real-time parts orders and work reports, access inventory and job details, and gain work order updates directly from the field by using a hand-held device. By integrating the Dexterra mobile software platform, SDI was able to help UNCG accomplish these requirements while eliminating its manual, paper-based processes, notes the company.
