Updated AIA handbook now available

April 2, 2008—The Architect’s Handbook of Professional Practice, Fourteenth Edition, with more than a third of it new content and significant revisions throughout, is now in stock at the AIA Bookstore.

Architects must be proficient in a variety of business practices to contribute to, manage, or launch a successful firm. They are responsible for the same kind of legal, financial, marketing, management, and administrative activities as any other professional. Within these broad categories, however, there are many details, including professional standards and documents, that are unique to the profession of architecture.

This indispensable resource about all aspects of architectural practice is substantially updated with nearly one-third new content and significant revisions throughout, says AIA. The Handbook provides in-depth new coverage of topics on sustainable design, managing multiple offices, lifelong learning, mentoring, and team building.

Now available in a convenient book/CD package, the Fourteenth Edition contains two CD-ROMs: one that allows easy searching of the entire book via PC, and another that provides samples of all AIA Contract Documents in PDF format for Mac and PC computers.

To order, visit the AIA Bookstore online.
