Vecta introduced the New Doug Ball Chair, affectionately called “Lucy,” at NeoCon in Chicago. This state-of-the-art chair combines complete ergonomics with a “living” back and new arm technology, with crucial aesthetic satisfaction. Lucy’s main design component and ergonomic characteristic is a translucent pellathane back. This provides a cradling effect while allowing the user’s upper and lower back to work independently. The unique material “breathes” and moves with the user during activity.
The seat pan also works from a hip pivot point to give balanced tilt and tension moving in and out of every position. The lower body is always stabilized at a point of correct lower body weight distribution. An expanded pneumatic adjustment allows users of all heights to correctly position themselves with any task. The adjustable arms have three positions that lock in place. The user has ample arm and elbow movement during heavy keyboard or mouse use because of the large, slightly rounded, smooth surface area of the arm. Adjustment mechanisms are housed within the arm itself to preserve the aesthetics of the design.
Vecta’s “Lucy” chair won a Best of NeoCon gold award in the Seating: Desk/Workstation/Task Chairs division.
