VFA and BAE’s NextGen-Facilities team up for lifecycle facilities management

July 23, 2008—VFA, Inc., a provider of solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management, has joined BAE Systems’ NextGen-Facilities program as a strategic teammate.

The collaboration offers a portfolio of products and services that support the lifecycle of facilities management, from initial planning through technology refreshment phases to the end of the building’s useful life, the companies say.

In addition to VFA, other NextGen-Facilities strategic team members include Cisco Systems, IBM, Gridlogix, Inc., Emerson Network Power, PANDUIT and Bentley Systems, Inc. Each contributes solutions that help buildings operate at the lowest cost and highest level of efficiency.

As a strategic team member, VFA collaborates with BAE Systems to co-market advanced solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management. VFA offers Facility Condition Assessment services, Green Building Assessment services and VFA.facility software to NextGen-Facilities customers.

VFA solutions provide a foundation for long-term capital planning and the facilities lifecycle management services provided by BAE Systems.

In a recent seminar co-sponsored by BAE Systems and VFA, “The Green Agenda: Making Federal Facilities Sustainable,” Lari Anderson discussed how the NextGen-Facilities program is helping organizations integrate building systems information to support perpetual commissioning over a building’s lifecycle while promoting green operations.
