November 8, 2006—VFA Canada Corp., a leading provider of end-to-end solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management, announced that it has been selected by the Saskatoon Health Region to conduct detailed facility condition assessments in nearly four million square feet of health facilities.
Saskatoon Health Region, the largest health region in Saskatchewan servicing nearly 300,000 residents, is responsible for the management of facilities ranging from hospitals and long-term health facilities to community service clinics and mental health and addiction centers.
The Saskatoon Health Region will use VFA’s Capital Planning and Management Solution (CPMS) to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the condition of healthcare facilities across the region and develop effective long-term plans for capital investment.
With a need to justify budgetary funding requests, Saskatoon Health Region engaged VFA to obtain detailed facility condition data on the region’s portfolio. The condition data collected by VFA will be input into the VFA.facility analytic and decision support software enabling Saskatoon Health to create its multi-year capital plans and budgets.
VFA has a long track record of working with Canadian healthcare organizations, including the British Columbia Ministry of Health, the Ottawa Hospital and Eastern Health in Newfoundland. For more information, see the Web site.
