March 22, 2006—VFA, Inc., the leading provider of software and services for facilities asset management and capital planning, has announced a $1.25 million software license contract with the General Services Administration (GSA), the largest property manager in the US. The GSA has purchased an enterprise-wide license for VFA.facility capital asset planning and management software.
The GSA has been using VFA.facility since 2000 to manage its real estate portfolio of federally owned properties, says VFA. The 11 GSA regions across the country use VFA.facility to collect and manage information about their facility conditions and systems, and develop capital plans. VFA has tailored the GSA software implementation to support the organization’s internal personnel in conducting audits of its extensive portfolio, encompassing facilities including office buildings, courthouses, post offices and border stations.
GSA is a centralized, federal procurement, property management, policy development and information provision agency, created by Congress to improve government efficiency and help federal agencies better serve the public.
