November 12, 2004—Videx’s CyberPoint is a stationary electronic tag designed to serve as a data checkpoint during security guard tours. CyberPoint’s software can send e-mails to notify management of suspicious activity, and can generate audit reports of who, where, when, and what for management review.
Both the stationary CyberPoint and Videx’s handheld CyberKey record guard tour activity. As a stand-alone guard checkpoint system, the CyberKey is used to record a security guard’s presence at checkpoints by storing the guard’s ID, location, and date and time. CyberKey records the last 3,900 events, while CyberPoint records the last 1,100 events. At the end of the tour, the data that has been recorded in the key can be downloaded to a computer.
CyberPoint can also be used along with Videx’s CyberLock lock cylinder access control system. Both use the same software. For more information visit Videx or call 541/758-0521.
