June 7, 2002—Viking, a manufacturer and distributor of fire protection equipment, has introduced UL-listed and FM-approved 1-1/2″ and 2″ check valves. These new, smaller check valves are suitable for dorm work, multi-family housing, small preaction systems, and floor control assemblies.
Designed for easy installation vertically or horizontally, these check valves are rated up to 250 psi water working pressure and include a convenient tapped opening for easy system draining.
Both 1-1/2″ and 2″ are UL- and ULC-listed in threaded or grooved styles and are FM-approved in the grooved configuration as both single check valves and anti-water hammer check valves. For more information on the check valves or other related products, contact Viking or call 877/384-5464.
