July 29, 2002—Viking, a manufacturer and distributor of innovative fire protection equipment, now offers the SureFire non-cycling preaction system, which still works even when primary and backup power sources fail. The new system has built-in features that ensure protection while preventing water from entering the system. This allows it to operate as a regular preaction system under normal conditions or as a dry system if primary and backup power fail.
Available with both single and double interlock electric release in 1-1/2 to 8 inch sizes, the SureFire system consists of Viking’s angle pattern or straight through Deluge Valves, EZ Trim, Easy Riser check valve, and Par-3 Release Control Panel. The add-on SureFire trim kit comes complete with two solenoids (one normally open and one normally closed), a pneumatic actuator, and all the fittings needed to complete the system. SureFire is UL and C-UL listed and FM approved.
