Village Green bench from Landscape forms updates an American classic

August 1, 2008—Landscape Forms, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of award-winning commercial outdoor furniture and accessories, has introduced Village Green. The latest addition to the Landmark Collection of seating and accessories designed by distinguished design professionals is a sophisticated update on a simple American classic, inspired by familiar themes in architecture, nature and historic design, says the company.

Award-winning product designer John Rizzi re-imagined the schoolyard bench of his boyhood as an impeccably detailed seating solution for small urban spaces. This steel slat bench is fluid in contour and smooth around the edges. Its posture angle, depth of seat and generous front radius provide support for back and legs and a comfortable seating experience. Seat and back slats are connected to the frame with sealed welds that create a refined visual and tactile detail.

The 6-foot-long bench is scaled for intimate public settings. It is offered with end arms, end and center arms, and armless. The bench frame and slats are made of bar steel in two weights, with steel rods as back supports. The bench has a recycled material content of 91% and is 100% recyclable.

Village Green is finished with Landscape Forms’ proprietary Pangard II polyester powdercoat process; a durable finish that is U.V., chip and flake resistant. The finish contains no heavy metal, is HAPS-free and has extremely low VOCs. A selection of standard, optional and custom colors are available.
