September 23, 2011—Whether it is a facilities manager explaining new regulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act or a teacher or college professor exploring the depths of the Amazon, Virco supports those lessons with TEXT, its new presentation table series with amenities that its smooth, contemporary design belies.
Collaboratively developed with award-winning designers Peter Glass and Bob Mills, Virco’s TEXT collection offers a complete selection of adjustable- and fixed-height tables, tilt-top tables and single-student desks.
With a spacious 24 in. by 48 in. high-pressure laminate top that incorporates two grommets for easy wire management, a rugged tubular steel frame and 3-in. twin-wheel locking casters for mobility, this versatile station effectively complements an instructor’s main desk by supporting an array of in-class applications.
Top height adjusts from 26 to 34 in., making the unit an ideal choice for seated presentations. Other features are a perforated steel modesty panel, a wire management tray that mounts beneath the top, a 13 by 22 in. plastic pencil drawer, and a leg-mounted wire chase. The full series comes in a number of sizes to fit just about any situation. One model has a work surface with a rounded, extended side on one end so that students can pull up a chair for assistance with their work.
