November 17, 2006—VMD Systems Integrators, Inc., has received its first contract award to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Facilities Management.
VMD will support the phased modernization effort for facilities management information technology systems. The FM systems modernization effort will analyze, design, develop, and deploy technology and business process solutions that meet the growing management needs. Phase 1 of this effort includes the replacement of legacy IT systems through full lifecycle development of Web-based applications and reports generation software.
VMD was established in 2002 and is a woman-owned, small disadvantaged business. The company helps clients maximize the value of their Information Technology systems. Other VMD clients include civilian, intelligence, and defense agencies. This is VMD’s first prime contract with the VA.
