October 8, 2001—Vodavi Technology Inc., an Arizona-based provider of business telecommunications solutions, recently introduced its next-generation system software—Feature Package 4.0—developed for the company’s STARPLUS TRIAD and infinite DVXPlus digital key telephone systems.
The new networking feature package allows businesses to centralize their telecommunications by connecting multiple systems together to simulate one telephone system and allowing each location to take advantage of convenient four-digit dialing between locations. For instance, a company that receives a call in its California office can transfer the call to its New York office with the push of one button or by dialing a four-digit code.
In addition, businesses that have outgrown their current key telephone system capacity can connect multiple key systems together, whether side-by-side or across country, to grow beyond the current 252-station capacity. Depending on configuration, as many as six systems can be networked together using Feature Package 4.0.
By centralizing communications, businesses can eliminate the need to purchase, install, and maintain equipment in multiple locations, as well as reduce or eliminate long-distance charges between locations, the company says.
